Burn Ban lifted in Jackson Parish

The Burn Ban in Jackson Parish has been lifted. The official announcement was made by Jackson Parish Fire Chief’s Association President,Philip Brown, on Thursday, October 5th, putting an end to the ban issued by the Louisiana State Fire Marshal that had been in effect since August 6th, a period of 60 days. 

The ban has also been lifted in Union, Morehouse and Ouachita Parish after the Louisiana Fire Marshal’s Office modified the burn ban on September 27 that allowed individual parishes to opt out of the statewide ban. As of Saturday, October 7th, Lincoln Parish was still enforcing the burn ban.
