In an effort to introduce the members of the 2023 JHHS football team, Jackson Parish Journal correspondent, Clay Williams, presents a question and answer interview series with Tiger players. Today – Milton Campbell!

Meet The Tigers

What’s your name, grade, number, and position?
Milton Campbell, 12th, #19, Defensive Back

What are your hobbies outside of football?
I’m in the FFA club, and I like hanging out with my friends outside of school.

What is your favorite pregame meal?
I always love a good burger.

What is your favorite subject in school?
Any kind of math, because it has always come easy to me.

Who would you say is your biggest motivation in life?
It’s hard for me not to say God. I always put him first, and he helps me out through everything.

What do you think are your biggest strengths you bring to the team?
My leadership ability, and always being a good teammate.

Are there any college or NFL players that you take inspiration from?
DeVonta Smith, because he’s from Louisiana and I love his playstyle and confidence on the field.

What are your thoughts about the team’s play so far this season?
We are playing pretty good, but I definitely feel that we can take it to another level.

What is something important a coach has taught you?
Honestly, everything I’ve learned about football these past 5 months. I had never played before, so there was a lot to learn with this being the only year I would play, and they helped me out a lot.

What are your plans after graduation?
I want to attend Louisiana Delta Community College, study trade, and hopefully become a
welder in my future.

Lastly, what are your goals for the rest of this season for yourself, and the team?
For the team, we don’t need any more losses. For myself, try to get at least one interception, or maybe even a pick 6.
