When J. “Spike” Harris ran for office of Mayor of Jonesboro, one promise he made to residents was that he would strive to move the town forward in the many areas that needed attention. 

Since the Town of Jonesboro has seen major advances in critical areas such as financial stability, receiving state grant money and improved conditions and equipment for the Public Works Department and Police Department. 

Now Harris announces an additional benefit for the residents of Jonesboro that makes the ability to pay utility bills easier. In the past, all bills had to be paid by the antiquated style of either check or cash. As of July 24th, these bills can now be paid at the drive thru window or at the front desk of City Hall by using a debit or credit card, a major ease of convenience in todays’ modern financial world.
