
Margaret (Linder) Antee
October 4, 1951 – November 13, 2024
Margaret Ann (Linder) Antee, age 73 of Quitman, ascended to her Heavenly home on Wednesday, November 13, 2024. She was born in Richland Parish to Arthur and Sallie Linder on October 4, 1951. She is a Rayville High School graduate. Margaret was homemaker that took pride in caring for her family. She enjoyed many activities such as watching Wheel of Fortune, working puzzles and watching hummingbirds. She also loved to spend time quilting and painting by numbers. She is beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend that will be missed by many. “Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted.” Matthew 5:4 KJV
Those left to cherish her memory is her husband, Fred Antee; children, Amy Waggoner and husband James, Westley Antee and wife Misty; grandchildren, Corbin Antee, Wyatt Antee, Arabella Antee; siblings, Floyd Linder, Dianne Eager, Gini Linder. She was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Sallie Mae (Thompson) Linder; siblings, A.J. Linder, Virgil Linder, Clyde Linder and Maudie Smith.
The Funeral service was held on Saturday, November 16, 2024 at North Hodge Assembly of God with Bro. Lance Huckaby officiating. Burial followed in the Garden of Memories Cemetery under the direction of Southern-Edmonds Funeral Home.
Serving the family as pallbearers were Shane Antee, Jace Antee, Sean Antee, Michael Linder, Tony Eager and Ryan Eager.
Vicki Shows
September 11, 1955 – November 12, 2024
Funeral services for Vicki Shows, age 69 of Quitman, LA, were held on Friday, November 15, 2024 at Hodge Baptist Church in Hodge, LA with Rev. Norris Curry officiating. Burial followed in the Gayla Traina Cemetery in Jonesboro, LA under direction of Owens Memorial Chapel Funeral Home of Ruston, LA.
Vicki was operations supervisor at Barksdale Credit Union for 13 years. She enjoyed church and being around her family, especially the holidays, cooking and visiting. Vicki liked growing flowers and reading and she loved her church and working in it. She was a dedicated lifelong member of Hodge Baptist Church. Vicki was preceded in death by her parents James and Ruby Williams; nephew, Jason Holloway and brother-in-law, Louis Holloway.
Vicki is survived by her husband, Harry Shows of Quitman; sisters: Connie Holloway of Quitman and Sherri and husband Bud Smith of Jonesboro; niece, Alysia Dickerson and Casey of Quitman; nephews: Clint Stewart and wife April of Gulf Breeze, FL, Rodney Stewart and Amy Pendergrass of Kingwood, TX, Chris Smith and Sommer of Weston, LA and Casey Smith and Carlie of Georgetown, LA; great-nephew, Andrew Dickerson; great-nieces: Kara Dickerson and Alex Stewart.
Serving as pallbearers will be Randy Centanni, Darryl Centanni, Mike Brown, Clint Stewart, Bud Smith and Jerry Thomas.
Leonard Reed
September 5, 1934 – November 11, 2024
Funeral services for Leonard Reed, age 90 of Jonesboro, LA, were held on Friday, November 15, 2024 at the Springhill Baptist Church in Jonesboro with Rev. Wayne Morrow and Rev. Mac Brunson officiating. Burial followed in the Springhill Cemetery in Jonesboro under the direction of Owens Memorial Chapel Funeral Home.
Charles “Leonard” Reed, was born on September 5, 1934 and passed away peacefully on November 11, 2024, and went on to join his wife of 65 years, Inez Reed and son, Larry Reed. Leonard was a devoted husband, father, Papa and friend. He leaves behind a Legacy of wisdom and love that touched everyone that knew him and he was a man that had shown great craftmanship and detail in everything he did. Leonard spent 44 years at the Hodge Papermill where he made many friends. He was also an avid outdoorsman and marksman and he found joy in growing his garden every year as well as fishing and hunting. He loved his family dearly in his own way.
Leonard was proceeded in death by his wife, Inez Reed; son, Larry Reed; and siblings: Willadene McMillin, Virgil Walsworth, Walton Reed, Marie Walsworth and Myrtis Jacobs.
Leonard is survived by his daughter, Beverly Adkins and husband Paul of Jonesboro; daughter-in-law, Tammy Wheeler and husband David Wheeler; grandchildren: Jason Adkins of Choudrant, Anisha and Kevin Hall of Jonesboro, Austin and Christy Reed of Willis Point, TX, Brandon and Yvonne Reed of Jonesboro; brother, Curtis Reed of Jonesboro; and sister, Edna Giles of Shipman VA.
Serving as pallbearers were Jason Adkins, Austin Reed, Brandon Reed, Shane Reed, Hunter Davis and David Wheeler.
The family would like to thank the staff at Forest Haven Nursing and Rehab for the excellent care Papa received. A special thanks to Lamay Martin and Sharon Thomley for the extra time they spent with Papa and his roommate, Truet Walsworth and for looking out for him in his time of need.
