The Jackson Parish School Board announce that Student Transfer Requests will be accepted from March 3rd – March 28th. All transfer requests should be turned in at the JPSD Central Office, located at 315 Pershing Hwy. in Jonesboro during the hours of 8:00 am – 4:00 pm, Monday – Friday. Transfer forms are available on the Jackson Parish School Board website.
Parents are reminded:
a. If your child is enrolled in a Pre-K class and you do not reside in that attendance zone – you must fill out a transfer form if you would like for your child to remain at that school. They do not automatically rollover to Kindergarten.
b. No transportation will be provided for transfer students according to Jackson Parish School Board policy JBCE.
c. A student granted a transfer remains subject to the rules and regulations of the Louisiana High School Athletic Association.
d. A student that transfers to another school will not be allowed to return to their zoned school until the next school year. Parents will be required to fill out a transfer request.

Students in the Jackson Parish School District must attend the school in the attendance zone where they live unless the receiving school has an available seat, based on a teacher to student ratio, in the students’ grade. To request a transfer, parents/guardians must complete the transfer request form.
• The Jackson Parish School Board will accept request March 3, 2025 – March 28, 2025.
• All documents must be completed properly and returned to the Jackson Parish School Board Office at 315 Pershing Highway, Jonesboro, La. 71251. Do not mail or give to any school.
• No transportation will be provided for transfer students according to Jackson Parish School Board policy JBCE.
• A student granted a transfer remains subject to the rules and regulations of the Louisiana High School Athletic Association.
• Students will not be allowed to transfer back to their zoned schools during the school year. This request will need to be made March 3 – March 28 for the next school year.
