The 2024-25 LHSAA District 1B Girls All-District Team have been announced with representatives from Quitman High School sweeping top honors and four players from Jackson Parish earning first team All-District honors. An additional six players from Quitman and Weston High Schools were selected to the 1B All-District Second Team or received Honorable Mention.

Coach of the Year! After leading Quitman High School to and undefeated district championship, Kyle Leach, was named District 1B Coach of the Year. In his 25th year as a prep head basketball coach, including 21 years at QHS, Leach also guided the Lady Wolverines to a 20-9 overall record and only the fifth LHSAA quarterfinal appearance school history. 

Player of the Year! One of the top athletes ever to come out of Jackson Parish, Cali Deal of Quitman High School, was named District 1B Most Valuable Player for the second consecutive year. In her senior season, Deal, who scored 1537 points over her final three years, led QHS in 2024-25 with a 17.9 points per game (ppg) scoring average and 4.8 rebounds per game (rpg). 

All-District 1B First Team

Joining Deal as a representative from Quitman High School on the All-District First Team was Anna Leach, who finished the season with a 14.8 points per game average.  Weston High School, which finished second in district 1B play, had both Briley Peterson (18.2 ppg / 8.3 rpg) and Anslee Aldy (10.0  ppg / 5.4 rpg) also selected to the elite squad. 

Additional All-District Honorees

Quitman and Weston had three players each selected to the 1B All-District Second Team or receiving Honorable Mention designation. Making the second team from Quitman was Jaleigh Burns with Carly Jo Griffin being selected from Weston. Earning Honorable Mention was Emma Walker and Taylor Borland from Quitman and Nadia Siadek and Carlynn Waters from Weston High.
