Jackson Parish Schools #1 in LHSAA Baseball and Softball Power Rankings

According to the LHSAA power ratings as of March 17th, the #1 ranked teams in the LHSAA Class B baseball and softball divisions reside in Jackson Parish. Not only do the two local schools, Weston and Quitman, sit atop the charts, they do so by a wide margin.

In baseball, it is Weston High School (13-6) who tops Class B with a 25.4118 rating, well ahead of second place Family Community, which holds a 23.8947 mark. The lead is even larger for defending Division IV state champion, Quitman (10-1) who has the highest power ratings in the state in softball regardless of classification at 31.900 far ahead of the 27.2143 rating held by second place Stanley.
