Where Are They?
It’s not hard to find a church; many are within walking distance.
Will we find more people to fill them?
“This is the church
This is the steeple.
Open the doors,
See all the people!” *author unknown
Teaching me to interlock my fingers; Mom repeatedly voiced the children’s rhyme.
It’s time for a rewrite…
“This is the church
This is the steeple.
Open the doors,
Where are all the people?”
That’s a good question; where are they?
They certainly aren’t packing many rural church pews; mourning sins at a mourner’s bench or bringing their burdens to the altar. Instead, they choose to forsake assembling at the local church.
… “not forsaking our meeting together [as believers for worship and instruction], as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another; and all the more [faithfully] as you see the day [of Christ’s return] approaching (Hebrews 10:25 AMP).”
Where are all the people?
Where will you be Sunday morning?
