Glenda (Ponds) Coleman
September 29, 1951 – April 20, 2025

Glenda (Ponds) Coleman passed away in Quitman, Louisiana on April 20, 2025. She was 73 years old. Glenda loved quilting and all sorts of arts and crafts. She also enjoyed baking cakes and reading. Glenda loved science fiction shows and movies, especially Star Trek. Her favorite thing, however, was to spend time with her children and grandchildren.

Glenda is survived by her husband, Larry Coleman; Children, Lori Boone (Scott) and Matt Coleman (Angela); siblings, Edna Bishop (Mike), Mary Ann England, John Tyler and William Tyler; 6 grandchildren; and 2 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her father, Edward Ponds; and mother, Lodies (Bates) Ponds.

Friends may visit with the family on Wednesday, April 23, 2025 at Southern-Edmonds Funeral Home Chapel from 9:30 AM until 11:00 AM. The funeral service will begin at 11:00 AM in the chapel. Burial will follow in the Garden of Memories in Jonesboro under the direction of Southern-Edmonds Funeral Home.
