
After putting together a monster sophomore season, South Arkansas Community College outfielder John Tyler “Ty” Simonelli has been selected as a Division II First-Team All-American by The JBB, a junior-college baseball media company.
The 2022 Quitman High School All-Stater had a team-high 39 extra-base hits, including a team-best 20 home runs. He led the team in slugging percentage with .872 and on-base percentage with .542. His batting average for the season was .407, and he led the Stars with 62 RBIs. Having completed his juco eligibility, the son of Quitman residents, Michael and April Simonelli, has committed to continue his baseball career and college journey at NCAA Division I Northwestern State in Nachitoches, Louisiana.
