
The Jackson Parish Library Artist of the Month is Lylia Rose Caraway. At the tender age of 13 years old, Lylia attends Quitman High School. When not making beautiful art creations, Lylia likes to be outdoors where she runs cross country, plays soccer, hunts, and goes fishing.
To see Lylia’s artwork, you can come to the Jonesboro Branch of the Jackson Parish Library, located at 614 South Polk Avenu,e during the month of October.
Take a “Storywalk” at both Jonesboro and Chatham branches
Both the Chatham and Jonesboro branches of the Jackson Parish Library invite you to come an enjoy their “Storywalks” this month. When you complete the story, scan the evaluation at the end and then stop by the front desk of either branch and receive a FREE book of the month, which for October is Yasmin the Farmer.
Storywalk is LSU AgCenter Healthy Community Project.
AdultCrafternoon to meet on Wednesday
Adults get to enjoy making a special Fall Porch Sign at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, October 15th at the always popular Adult Crafternoon meeting that will be held at the Jonesboro Branch.
Tweens-N-Teens to make Mummy Door Hangers on Friday
On October 17th, the Tweens-N-Teens will meet at 4:00 pm at the Jonesboro Branch. In the spirit of Halloween, participants will get to make a Mummy Door Hanger that they will get to take home.
