
Maddox Duck from Quitman High School and his partner Benton Terry out of River Oaks School in Monroe won 4th place overall out of 45 teams that fished Caney Lake on Saturday, October 25th, in the second fall event of the Northeast Louisiana High School Anglers tour.
Fishing in sporadic rain, the pair landed a total of three fish that totalled 16.77 pounds and included a 7.51 lb lunker. Winning the tournament was Bax Young and Jackson Gee of D’Arbonne Woods Charter in Farmerville, who netted five fish that weighed 32.99 lbs. in total while also claiming the ‘Big Bass” Award by landing a 9.25 pounder.

The tournament was the final event of the 2025 portion of NELAHS tour that will resume on February 7, 2026, when Caney Lake plays host once again.
