Karl Logan Hinton
May 26, 1988 – November 28, 2025

Karl Logan Hinton, 37, of Quitman, passed away on Friday, November 28, 2025, in Jackson, Mississippi. Karl was gifted in American Sign Language and devoted many years to interpreting for others, a role he embraced with both skill and compassion. Over the years, he also served his community as a pharmacy technician, phlebotomy technician, and co-owner of Hinton Driving Academy. Creative and versatile, Karl enjoyed photography and website design, pursuits that reflected his eye for detail and love of learning. Above all, he treasured time spent with his family and friends and adored his Yorkies, Oscar and Lucy. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Southern-Edmonds Funeral Home to help with the cost of Karl’s funeral service.

Survivors include his father, Monty Hinton; mother, Sherry (Williams) Hinton; siblings, Stephanie Baker (Kevin) and Sidney Hinton (Ceara); nieces and nephews, Caden Atkins, Bentlee Baker, Pierson Baker, Brentley Hinton and Avenlea Hinton; numerous cousins, aunts, uncles and friends.

Karl was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Johnny and Irene Williams; and his paternal grandparents, Levon and Margaret Hinton.

As per Karl’s wishes, there will be a private family-only viewing at Antioch Cumberland Presbyterian Church near Quitman from 10:30 AM until 11:00 AM on Friday, December 5, 2025. A private family-only graveside service will follow in the Antioch Cemetery at 11:15 AM under the direction of Southern-Edmonds Funeral Home in Jonesboro.  The family requests that the public observe Karl’s wishes.

Serving as pallbearers will be Cody Williams, Cody James, Jason Hinton, Kevin Baker, Josh Hinton, and Nick Morehead.

Virginia “Becky” Gray
July 8, 1971 – December 1, 2025

Virginia Gray, better known as “Becky,” went to be with the Lord on December 1, 2025, at the age of 64 years old. A Public Viewing will be held from 3:30 – 4:30 pm at New Prosperity Baptist Church in Lucky, LA, on Friday, December 5th. The Life Celebration Service will take place on Saturday, December 6th at 2:30 pm under the direction of Paradise Funeral Home in Jonesboro
