Hudson Pullig will continue his baseball career after graduating from Quitman High School (QHS) at South Arkansas Community College in El Dorado, AR. The official signing of papers will take place at 1:00 pm on Tuesday, May 5th, in the Quitman High School gymnasium.
SouthArk, as the school is commonly referred to, is a Division II member of the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) and competes in the Region 2 East Division. The Stars continue to make a concerted effort to bring some of north Louisiana’s best talent to campus, having already signed fellow Jackson Parish baseball player Drew Browning of Weston High School earlier this spring.
Additional Jackson Parish residents who have played at SouthArk over the past couple of years are Ty Simonelli, a 2022 QHS graduate, and Emma Kate McBride, a 2023 Weston High School graduate.
A Louisiana Sports Writers Association (LSWA) and Louisiana Baseball Coaches Association (LBCA) Class B first-team selection in 2024 and 2025, the son of Brent and Juliann Pullig, helped Quitman earn a Class B regional berth after batting .319 with 35 runs scored and 25 runs batted in.
