Sixth-grade students from Jonesboro-Hodge Middle School, Quitman High School, and Weston High School had the opportunity this week to visit the Freedom Truck at the Union Parish Courthouse. This “mobile museum,” one of six touring the country, is part of the celebration of the United States’ 250th anniversary and is designed to bring history to life.
During their visit, students experienced a presentation featuring George Washington, signed a replica of the Declaration of Independence, and learned about the everyday people whose vision, faith, and hard work helped shape the nation.
