In conjunction with the launch of the CARE360 Fall Prevention Program, Jackson Parish Ambulance Service District (JPASD), located at 115 Watts Avenue in Jonesboro, has completed the ZIBRIO Balance Specialist certification, becoming the first EMS Agency in the state of Louisiana to earn this distinction.

The ZIBRIO Balance Scale will be used during in-home fall-risk evaluations, but identifying risk is only the beginning. By combining objective balance assessment with specialized training, JPASD can help individuals understand the risk and develop a more personalized plan focused on balance, strength, mobility, home safety, and fall prevention.

The goal of the JPASD is to turn assessment into ACTION—providing strengthening exercises, recommending appropriate safety tools and resources, addressing hazards in the home, educating individuals and caregivers, and connecting participants with additional resources when needed.

Simply put: find the risk BEFORE the fall happens.
