The Jackson Parish Recreation Department High School Summer League season enters it’s second week with two games to be played on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday at 6:00 and 8:00 pm . Schools participating in the baseball league are: Jonesboro-Hodge, Quitman, Saline, Calvin, Dodson and Haynesville. All games are played on field #5.

The Softball League consists of teams from: Weston, Cedar Creek, Montgomery, Downsville, Saline, Plainview, West Ouachita, Simsboro, Choudrant, Calvin and Quitman. Games are played on Thursday beginning with three games at 4:30pm, four games at 6:00pm and four games at 7:30pm Games will be played on Fields 1,2,3 and 4.

In baseball action last week Calvin and Saline won both of their games, JHHS and ‘Quitman split a pair and Haynesville and Dodson dropped both games they played. Quitman and Choudrant were the only two undefeated teams in softball with Weston winning two out of three and Montgomery, Cedar Creek and West Ouachita grabbing a victory.
