JoCille Coleman
June 28, 1951 – July 30, 2023

colemanJoCille Coleman, age 72 of Jonesboro, ascended to meet her Lord and Savior on Sunday, July 30, 2023. JoCille was always the life of the party. She loved to spend time at the lake with friends. She enjoyed bowling and spent many Tuesday and Thursday nights knocking pins down. JoCille worked in occupational therapy and found much joy in helping her patients. She loved her family dearly, especially any time she got to spend with her grandchildren.

Those left to cherish her memory is her husband of 55 years, Danny Coleman; children, Shawn Hayward and Robbie, Kasey Patton, Ashley Hattaway; grandchildren, Collin Dowden, Cody Redl, Bre Johnston, Kassedy Redl, Tristen Patton, Joey Patton, Charley Garce Patton, Dalton Hattaway, Keller Hattaway; 6 great grandchildren; numerous bonus children that she loved like her own; cousin, Linda Autrey; a host of friends and other relatives. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Shea Coleman Durbin; parents, E.L. and Edith Lucille (Bounds) Meredith; son in law, Bradley Hattaway.

Friends may visit with the family on Thursday, August 3, 2023 in the chapel of Southern-Edmonds Funeral Home from 5:00-8:00PM. Funeral services are set for Friday, August 4, 2023 in the chapel at 2:00PM. Interment will follow in Garden of Memories Cemetery in Jonesboro under the direction of Southern-Edmonds Funeral Home.

Ruby Sapp
March 20, 1932 – July 24, 2023

sappOn Sunday, July 24, 2023. Sister Ruby Russell Sapp was freed from the bounds and chains of this earth, at her home in Atlanta, LA and now her soul is at peace resting in God’s care.

Sister Ruby Russell Sapp was born March 20, 1932, to the late Ernest Dean Russell, Sr. And the late Audrey Powell Russell in Hermitage, Arkansas. She was baptized at an early age and attended church while a resident in Arkansas. She worked in the cotton fields. She will be missed by her smile and her love for her family & friends.

She met and married the love of her life, Mr. Huey Sapp, Sr. to this union 10 children were born.

She were preceded in death by her parents, Ernest D. Russell, Sr and Audrey Powell Russell; brothers, Ernest D. Russell, Jr. and Vernon Lee Russell; sisters, Dorothy Russell Poole and Vada Russell Belcher; daughter, Jenell Sapp; sons, Bobby Sapp, Leroy Sapp, Johnny Sapp, and Huey Sapp, Jr.; a son she raised, Joseph Hubbard, 5 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.

She leaves to cherish her memories: five daughters, Ruby Sapp, Karen Sapp (Tracy), Julie Russell all of Atlanta, LA; Michelle Sapp (David) of Tanniehill, LA; and Cordine Collins (Frank) of Winnfield, LA; one special nephew/son, Rickey Belcher of Atlanta, LA; one sister, Sarah Russell Thomas of Warren, Arkansas; Two special sons she raised, Byron Jackson and James Jackson; and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and relatives.

Visitation will take place from 4:00 – 6:00 pm on Friday, August 4th at the Paradise Funeral Home in Jonesboro. At 11:00 am on Saturday, August 5th, a Service of Rejoicing will be held in the Winnfield High School Auditorium in Winnfield followed by Interment in the Bethelham Cemetery in Atlanta, LA under the direction of Paradise Funeral Home in Jonesbor. 

 

Stacy Reese
December 7, 1964 – July 30, 2023

reeseStacy Reese, age 58 of Castor, was welcomed into his Heavenly home on Sunday, July 30, 2023. Stacy loved his Lord and Savior and his family above all else. He is the family member least seen in family photos as he was always the one capturing his family’s memories on film. He was his family’s biggest supporter and cheerleader. Stacy was a proud car salesman and was very talented at his craft. He also had a green thumb that could bring life back to even the most pitiful plant. Stacy had a presence that lit up a room. He was kind, thoughtful and generous. No matter how serious life could get he always found a way to bring fun back into any situation. Stacy was always a big kid a heart. He always had a love of fireworks that he never did outgrow no matter how old he was which has made for many fun memories throughout the years. He never let the negative affect him in life and he always put others before himself. His nieces and nephews were everything to him. His family will always recall that he was an awesome brother and uncle. He leaves a legacy behind of what it is to love and to love BIG! He will be greatly missed.

Those left to cherish his memory are his siblings, Terry Reese and wife Amanda, Candice Reese and husband Eric; nephews, Nick Reese, Justin McCarthy and wife Jordan; nieces, Sonni Nichole Reese, Adysen Elaine Breeland; great nieces, Marley Rae Reese, Hadley Kate Reese; a host of other family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Shelton and Elaine Reese.

Friends may visit with the family on Wednesday, August 2, 2023 from 5:00-8:00PM at Pine Grove Baptist Church. A memorial service is set for Thursday, August 3, 2023 at 2:00PM with Reverend Jerry Martin and Pastor Sandra Sanford officiating.
