The 2023-24 LHSAA prep basketball season jamborees for varsity girls and boys teams in class B & C / Division V tipped off on Tuesday, October 24th. Locally, Jackson Parish rivals Weston and Quitman High School play in the season opening  Jamboree with the first game beginning at 5:00 pm at the newly refurbished Quitman High School gymnasium. Adding to the enjoyment is a Bake Sale and a 3-Point Shootout Fundraiser being conducted to help the QHS Track and Field program. 

WHS Jamboree Schedule (Thursday, October 26th )

Weston vs Quitman (JV Girls) – two 5 minute quarters
Weston vs Quitman (JV Boys) – two 5 minute quarters
Weston vs Quitman (Varsity Girls) – two 10 minute halves
Weston vs Quitman (Varsity Boys) – two 10 minute halves

Neighboring schools Saline, Dodson and Calvin will also be in action on the same day at the Calvin Jamboree with games beginning at 5:00 pm. Each game will be one 10 minute interval with a five minute warm up starting at the end of the previous game.
