Ms. Jo Ann Deal of the Better Business Bureau (BBB) sends a warning to residents of north Louisiana, including those in Jackson Parish, to be on the alert for what is being labeled as Imposter Scams. 

While there are several of these being perpetrated currently the two that has most been reported are scams involving the non-accredited, Louisiana Certificate Service and another that announces they are with Social Security. 

Deal warns that just because you get a letter that looks and sounds official in the mail does not mean it always is. She also says if you get a message about your credit dropping significantly, do not click on a link.
