Every batter in the lineup scored at least one run and all but one reached base at least once as Weston proved their #2 ranking in Division V among “non-select” schools by dominating Doyline 18-4 in the district 1B opener for both teams.

After spotting Doyline, now 7-7 on the year, to  3-0 lead, Weston came storming back to score two in the top of the fourth, five in the fifth and then put the game away with a season best for one inning, 11 runs in the top of the sixth. Weston improved to a very deceptive 10-9 record overall after playing one of the hardest schedules in the state preparing for district play.

Tait Henderson drove in three, scored twice, and stole two bases. His double, one of his two hits on the day, was the only extra base hit for the Wolves who touched up Doyline pitching for 10 hits, 11 walks and had three players get hit by pitches. Drew Browning got a team best three hits and scored twice with Cole Tolar getting two hits, scoring a run and knocking one in. Bryce Zehr scored twice and got on base three times via a hit and two walks and Braden Theriot walked four times and scored to runs. Cooper Delaney picked up the win.
