In honor of Breunte “Te” Hicks and in support of the effort to stop the senseless violence that took his life last fall and has plagued Jackson Parish over the past year, the “Te” Birthday Weekend Celebration has been scheduled for Thursday – Saturday, April 4th – 6th. 

Activities are scheduled to begin on Thursday, April 4th when at 5:30 pm a Balloon Release will be held at the Bethany Baptist Church Cemetery in Quitman. On Saturday, April 6th, a Stop The Violence Walk will take place at 11:00 am beginning at the JHHS boys gymnasium and ending at the Jackson Parish Courthouse. Immediately following a Birthday Celebration will take place at Caney Lake. Entrance fee is $3.00 per person with senior aged 62 & over and children 3 years old or younger admitted free of charge.
