Weston, Quitman take aim at LHSAA Division V Baseball State Championship

Anyone who saw the baseball teams from Weston and Quitman high schools play this year knew that both had squads that could compete for a state championship. Both are only one game away from doing just that and in what would be a tremendous coup for Jackson Parish as if both win their semi-final matchup they will play against each other for the LHSAA Division IV state title.

How cool would that be?

Both will be in action on Tuesday, May 7th, at McMurry Park in Sulphur with #5 Quitman facing #1 ranked and defending Division IV champion Pitkin on Field 37 at 11:00 am. Second seed, Weston, follows on the same field at 2:00 pm against #3 Hicks. The finals are set for 11:00 am on Friday, May 10th on Field 40.
