Jeweldine Wyatt Busbice
January 29, 1926 – August 14, 2024

busbiceJeweldine Wyatt Busbice, affectionately known as “The Jewel,” passed away peacefully on August 14, 2024 at her home in West Monroe, Louisiana. Born on January 29, 1926 at home in Jackson Parish, Jeweldine lived a life full of love, service, and dedication to her family, especially her two beautiful daughters.

Jeweldine is survived by her devoted grandson, Jimm Patterson, his wife Sara, and their children, Reagan and Wyatt. She is also remembered by Pamela’s husband, Tom Watson, and many loving cousins and extended family. Jeweldine was preceded in death by her beloved husband, CA Busbice (“Busbice”), her two daughters, Pamela Watson and Tarah Busbice, her parents, Audie Wyatt and Jettie Dee Smith Wyatt, and her siblings, Christine Wyatt Pardue, Elaine Miller, A.J. Wyatt, Donald Wyatt and Henry Dale Wyatt.

Jeweldine took great pride in her civil service with the Federal Government, where she worked in communications during World War II. Her contributions during such a critical time in history were a testament to her unwavering commitment and patriotism.

A funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 31, 2024 at Southern-Edmonds Funeral Home, 228 Allen Avenue, Jonesboro, Louisiana with Bro. Mike Staples officiating. Visitation will be that morning from 9:00 a.m. until time of service. Burial will follow in Ebenezer Cemetery under the direction of Southern-Edmonds Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made in honor of Jeweldine to Serenity Care Providers or Elara Caring (Hospice).

Jeweldine Wyatt Busbice will be deeply missed, but her memory will forever remain a cherished treasure in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
