JACKSON PARISH — According to the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development, from Wednesday, November 20, 2024, to approximately Saturday, November 23, 2024, LA 542 at the railroad grade crossing in Jackson Parish will be closed for railroad repairs.

The detour route during the closure will be LA 811, LA 4, and US 167, with detour signs posted along the roadway for the duration of the closure. DOTD reminds drivers to be careful driving through the construction area and to be on the lookout for work crews and equipment.
