Village of Chatham Council Meeting Minutes
November 12, 2024
The Village of Chatham met at its regularly scheduled meeting on November 12, 2024, at 6:00pm.
Present were Mayor Gregory Harris, council members Bernadean James, Toni Malone, Sue Proffer, Lavern Mixon, and Mike Wilson. The meeting was called to order by Mayor Harris. The pledge was led by council member Toni Malone and prayer was given by Mayor Harris.
Mike Wilson motioned, Sue Proffer seconded and was approved by all to accept the minutes as of the regular meeting that was held on October 8, 2024.
Lavern Mixon motioned, seconded by Mike Wilson and approved by all to pay the monthly bills.
Sue Proffer motioned, seconded by Mike Wilson approved by all to adopt Resolution 2024-10 declaring surplus.
Mike Wilson motioned, seconded by Bernadine James and approved by all to adopt Resolution 2024-11 giving Mayor authority to sign paperwork for street repair project.
Toni Malone motioned, seconded by Mike Wilson approved by all, to postpone the introduction of Ordinance 2024-05, display of memorabilia, until the next regularly scheduled meeting.
Toni Malone motioned, seconded by Lavern Mixon approved by all to Introduce Ordinance 2024-06 Alcoholic Beverages, Public hearing set for December 10, 2024, at 5:30 pm.
Mike Wilson motioned, seconded by Bernadine James and approved by all to approve the Financial Statements.
Mike Wilson motioned, seconded by Toni Malone and approved by to adjourn the meeting.
