
The winners of the Christmas Parade float contest have been named by the Jackson Parish Chamber of Commerce. Four divisions were judged from the groups of Business, Family and Friends, Cars/Jeep and Trucks that were participated in the parade. Judges also determined the winner of the Christmas tree decorating contest that was held in the pocket park on Main Street.
“We had wonderful weather and a great parade,” said JPCC Director Wilda Smith. “Special thanks to our MC’s for the parade Bro. Trey and Jessica Etheridge. Also, for our judges who were from out of town and Rusty Tolar for chauffeuring our judges for the afternoon so that they could get a better view of all of the floats. Town employees are also to be commended for the beautiful decorations of the lights as well as Randy Layfield, Ross Pullin, and Glen Runyon for lining up the parade and Sheryl Holder and Michelle Breeding for being sure numbers were on all of the entries.

3rd place – Scrub A Dub Grooming

1st Place – Richard, Lowery family and friends
2nd Place – Jackson Parish all-star state champs
