Five members of the Jackson Parish Gifted / Talented (GT) program, under the direction of Kathie Shields Venable, competed in the Louisiana State Literary Vocal Music Competition in Baton Rouge on Saturday, with each earning a Superior rating.  

Earning Superior Ratings were:

Emma Kate Toms – QHS
Meredith Turner – WHS
Avery Dark – WHS
Nia Williams – WHS
Madison Turner – WHS

Nia Williams, Meredith Turner and Madison Turner also received an Excellent Rating in Treble Trio competition.
