ROAD CLOSURE: LA 4 east of Jonesboro to experience closure August 3-4

(DOTD) – The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development advises motorists that beginning on Saturday, August 2, 2025, a section of LA 4 in Jackson Parish will be closed to thru traffic. The road closure is anticipated to last 2 days and should be reopened on Sunday, August 3, 2025. This work will be performed WEATHER PERMITTING.

This closure is located approximately 1.75 miles east of its intersection with US 167, and is necessary to allow for the replacement of a cross-drain pipe that is impacting the integrity of the roadway.

Safety reminder: DOTD reminds motorists to NEVER drive around ‘road closed’ barricades at any time for any reason. Area residents should exercise caution when driving, walking, or biking near an active construction zone and be on the lookout for work crews and their equipment.

Restrictions/Permits: Total road closure at the specified location. All vehicles will need to utilize an alternate route.

Alternate Route: Detour signage will be in place.
