Saved Lives

I’m susceptible to bouts of goose bumps…

A firefighter rescues trapped children from a raging house fire and it makes headlines. He saved their lives.

A boat capsizes on raging seas and the Coast Guard reaches passengers in the nick of time. They were saved from drowning.

A traffic accident occurs on a busy interstate and the woman is unable to free herself from her burning car. Firefighters and EMS personnel painstakingly use the Jaws of Life to pull the trapped victim free. They saved a life.

Jesus saves!

“The jailer told someone to bring a light. Then he ran inside and, shaking with fear, fell down in front of Paul and Silas. Then he brought them outside and said, ‘Men, what must I do to be saved?’

They said to him, ‘Believe in the Lord Jesus and you will be saved—you and all who live in your house (Acts 16:29-31 ERV).”

Have you been saved from sin?

“If you openly say, ‘Jesus is Lord’ and believe in your heart that God raised him from death, you will be saved. Yes, we believe in Jesus deep in our hearts, and so we are made right with God. And we openly say that we believe in him, and so we are saved (Romans 10:9-10 ERV).”
