
The Jackson Parish Police Jury (JPPJ) Road and Finance Committee’s held their regularly scheduled monthly meeting for December this past Friday in the Nathaniel Zeno, Jr. Meeting Room of the Jackson Parish Administrative Building, located at 160 Industrial Drive in Jonesboro.
The Finance Committee of Todd Culpepper (Chairman), Amy Magee, and John McCarty held the first session where they discussed and considered making recommendations to the Police Jury for the 2024 Budget.
At 2:00 pm, Road Committee members Amy Magee (Chairman), Todd Culpepper, and Lewis Chatham met on the following agenda items.
1. Discuss and recommend Priority Lists.
2. Discuss planning for 2024 Road Program Capital Project.
3. Discuss planning for 2024 Maintenance Project.
4. Discuss and make recommendation, if needed, on approving the purchase of the Asphalt Trailer.
5. Discuss and recommend action, if necessary, on other road issues.
As policy, while it was possible that a quorum of the Police Jury was in attendance at the meetings, no action of the Police Jury as a whole was taken. All recommendations will be presented to the JPPJ for action during their next scheduled meeting slated for Tuesday, December 19th.
