
The Jonesboro Study Guild held their regular monthly meeting on October 28th. Hostesses for the evening, Kathy Allen and Paula Jimmerson, introduced Mr. John Morgan, CEO of Jackson Parish Hospital, as special guest speaker and who for the past 30 years has applied his clinical knowledge and business administration skills to a broad range of medical facilities.
Under his leadership, the Jackson Parish Hospital has become one of the top rural health care centers in the state and is constantly improving, evidenced by the newest ongoing project of a new Emergency Room division. His educational background includes a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Northwestern State University, a wound, ostomy, and continence certification from Emory University, and a Master of Business Administration from Louisiana Tech University. His motto is, “Do the right thing, even when no one is looking,” and through his leadership and example, Jackson Parish Hospital has seen unprecedented cultural, clinical, and financial growth.
