Virtually every coach looks at the schedule as two separate seasons. First is the pre district portion followed by district play. Season two (if you will) begins in full force for each of the three Jackson Parish schools this week as Quitman and Jonesboro-Hodge have one district contest each and Weston plays two. 

Tuesday Tilts: The feature game of the week that will give the winner the upper hand in District 1B pits #3 ranked Quitman, author of an 18 game winning streak and 19-2 overall record playing host to perineal small school power Doyline, who despite an 18-3 mark sits at #15 in the Class B power rankings. Weston will travel to Castor with both squads are looking for their first district win of the year.  JHHS will host Union Parish in a final tune-up before District 1-1A play begins in earnest.

Friday, January 24th. Another juicy matchup against longtime rivals take center stage on Friday as JHHS welcomes Lincoln Prep to open district 1-1A play for both teams. Doyline will make another trip to Jackson Parish, this time facing Weston and Quitman steps out of district play as they will travel to Benton in an attempt to beat their fourth Class 5A school without a loss.
