Quitman Cross Countrty meet held at Jackson Parish Rec. Dept. Sports Complex

Fun for All!
Old and young alike enjoyed the annual Quitman High School Fundraiser Cross Country Meet

Quitman High School held its annual fundraising cross-country meet on Saturday at the Jackson Parish Recreation Department Sports Complex, located at 5254 Hwy 4 East of Jonesboro.

Under the direction of QHS cross country coach Cindy Pardue and with the help of the QHS administration and staff members, as well as numerous volunteers who stepped up to assist with the meet participants, the event that saw 20 schools send teams was deemed a success.

This was especially true for the host as QHS came away with first place in five team divisions, had 5 runners win individual titles and a total of 24 members of the QHS team finished in the top ten of their various age groups. Weston High School also had seven runners finish in the top ten of their respective races.

“To our community and our visiting teams, thank you for coming out and making our day great! Thank you to the QHS administration and staff for stepping in where needed! It means a lot! To all of our runners, thank you for encouraging each other through all our practices and races! Thank you to all those who helped with the biggest to the smallest tasks, it takes EVERYTHING coming together to make a cross country meet successful.” – Cindy Pardue, QHS Cross Country Coach
