Public Hearing to precede Jonesboro Board of Aldermen meeting on Tuesday

A Public Hearing will be held at 5:30 pm on Tuesday, April 11th at the Charles H Garrett Community Center, located at 182 Industrial Drive, before the regularly scheduled meeting of the Board of Aldermen for the Town of Jonesboro.

The hearing and main agenda item both pertain to the same item, that being the amending of Ordinance’s #2022-004 and #2022-005 where ARPA funds will be transferred to the General Budget to pay for the Enterprise Fleet Management Agreement.

Council members Devin Flowers, Robbie Siadek, Robert Hunter, James Ginn, and Nia Evans-Johnson will also be asked to adopt Resolution 2023-013 which would allow for the town to apply for a Drinking Water State Revolving Fund (DWSRF) Lead Service Line Replacement Grant.

Additional agenda items include:
(1) Mobile Home approval request for Daniele Thompson
(2) Request for three new part-time hires in Police Department
(3) Reports from Department Heads
(4) Request to approve February and March Financial statements and March meeting minutes.

Under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) if accommodations or assistance are needed, please inform Town Hall before the meeting to make necessary arrangements.

  1. Please give the city more police! The crime is growing greatly, shooting are frequent. If we aren’t safe in our community then what good is it to build watetparks, bring in industry or anything else!
